Waste Management & Recycling
Every day, we strive to reduce the amount of waste we produce in the operation of our company. Even so, some waste is an inevitable byproduct of our business processes. Therefore, we always try to find sources and ways to use materials that can be recycled.
We collaborate with a large waste management company to gradually increase the percentage of waste sent for recycling. This does not include incineration or conversion to biomass as an alternative to landfilling.
We ensure that we meet the requirements of waste regulations and provide appropriate waste containers for collecting waste and enabling segregation according to the waste management hierarchy defined by the Regulations: Prevention, reuse, recycling, and disposal. In this context, ‘other recovery’ is entrusted to our contractors for waste management.
Packaging
We continuously strive to:
- Eliminate unnecessary packaging
- Reduce packaging wherever possible
- Reuse packaging for the further distribution of the product
- When packaging must be purchased, ensure it is made from recycled materials onlyν
Pollution
We accept our responsibility to protect the quality of the land, air, and water. Our distribution process does not produce liquid waste that could cause land or water pollution; however, the emissions from our vehicles will impact the air. We have addressed this by creating a modern diesel vehicle fleet for both sales and distribution. We recognize that continuous investment in modern vehicles is the only way to benefit from engine technology advancements, leading to reductions in both energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Recovered Wood
We insist on the green identity of our partner companies as they are pioneers in their field! Unilin has been manufacturing its high-quality products exclusively from recycled wood for quite some time, and the particle board panels are made up of 90% recycled materials. With its new recycling technology, it gives a second life to MDF panels!
